SUMMARY
The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care based on the nursing process within assigned work periods. They function as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes consistent with the comprehensive plan of care. The RN participates in activities to achieve clinical, financial and organizational outcomes. - Knowledge of nursing process, social, behavioral, and biological sciences normally acquired via an approved nursing program.
- Able to provide age and culturally specific care to the population served.
- Ability to analyze data, synthesize and summarize information, and make judgments regarding patient care.
- For specialty areas, related experience and qualifications may be required.
- Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing. BSN strongly preferred.
- MA RN license and BLS required (Some departments require ACLS or PALS).
