Whirlpool is looking for qualified candidates for the role of Brake Set Up Operator located in Fall River, MA. The Brake Operator will set up and safely operate Press Brakes to process/produce highest quality products.

Work Shift:

2nd (3pm - 11:30pm)

$26.35 an hour

• Set up and document tooling and safe practices for Press Brake operations.
• Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.
• Maintain accurate parts and motivation on routine repetitive jobs.
• Maintain cleanliness of the machine during operations.
• Perform in-process checks to maintain all required tolerances and quality.
• Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
• Communicate all production-related items to next shift operators or shift supervisors.
• Operate, program, control, set all machine functions, deburr, and inspect parts to assure conformance.
• Work from drawings and sketches, read and understand prints or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of manufacturing sheet metal experience.

• Good computer skills.
• Experience in a continuous improvement environment.
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
