Overview
As a Nurse Technician, you will provide nursing duties related to the general welfare and personal hygiene of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist patients in meeting basic human needs—nutrition, hydration, mobility, comfort, elimination, socialization, rest and hygiene—while collecting, reporting, and documenting simple data. Responsibilities- Assist nursing staff in providing direct patient care.
- Carry out common nursing functions for which the technician has documented competency.
- Support patients in activities to meet basic human needs (nutrition, hydration, mobility, comfort, elimination, socialization, rest, hygiene).
- Collect, report, and document simple data as required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing degree program with successful completion of fundamental nursing courses and recommendation from a clinical instructor.
- Previous experience as a nursing assistant is preferred.
Pay range: $17.33–$25.26 per hour.
