Position Overview

Southcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Endocrinologist physician to join our esteemed Endocrinology & Diabetes Center consisting of 4 physicians supported by 6 advanced practice practitioners. This position is out‑patient only. The successful candidate will contribute to our tradition of practice excellence and play a pivotal role in advancing patient care in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency, pituitary disorders, and osteoporosis in the outpatient practice setting, while developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor chronic conditions through follow‑up visits, adjusting treatment plans and medications as needed and coordinating care/referrals for complex cases.
  • Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options and lifestyle modifications.
  • Work with primary care providers and other specialists, such as surgeons, nephrologists, dietitians, for multidisciplinary care.
  • Opportunity to work in multidisciplinary Osteoporosis Center of Excellence.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification/eligibility in endocrinology.
  • Fellowship training in endocrinology.
  • Current state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills.
