Ivybank is located in Polmont near Falkirk and has bus routes from Bo’ness, Bonnybridge, Denny, Falkirk & Linlithgow for easy transport. Polmont Train Station is a 15-minute walk from the care home.

Hours: 34.5 hours per week

Salary: £12.60 - £12.82 per hour (depending on experience)

As a Care Assistant with Meallmore you’ll help residents enjoy each day by ensuring they receive quality care and support. You’ll assist with daily living, providing support and companionship, and sharing great moments and memories. It’s a chance to bring your dedication and compassion to a fulfilling environment. Every day will be different, so you can expect a varied and rewarding workload.

The type of support you provide is no different from what a family member would normally deliver.

• Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents with washing, dressing, mealtimes and all other aspects of daily living.
• Promoting residents' independence and well‑being.
• Monitoring residents' health conditions, liaising with relatives and colleagues.
• Supporting residents in physical and social activities, getting to know their interests and needs so they can lead their best life possible, by understanding what matters most to each individual.

• You’ll need to have a naturally caring and kind nature.
• Have excellent communication and time‑management skills.
• Patience and empathy when dealing with challenging situations.
• The ability to work well on your own or as part of a team.

Ideally you will have an SVQ Level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care, but if you don’t, we will fully fund and support you to achieve this.

Our focus is you and your ongoing development. We have a Care Team career pathway to support you to reach your potential, all the way to Care Home Manager if that is your goal.

Working a full‑time job and juggling life is difficult, we know. With us, you achieve a full‑time wage with 3 or 4 days off each week. If that still doesn’t suit, let us know – we can be flexible and will do our best to accommodate.
