Position: Nurse Practitioner (Clinical Practice Manager)
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

Bend is a city in Central Oregon and the county seat of Deschutes County, Oregon, United States. It is located to the east of the Cascade Range, on the Deschutes River. The site became known by pioneers as a fordable crossing point of the river, where it was ran through a bend. An 1870s ranch popularized the name "Farewell Bend", with the post office later distinguishing the area as Bend.

It was incorporated as a city in 1905, starting off as a logging town. In 1910, Mirror Pond was created as a dammed river reservoir to provide energy. In 1950, the two major logging companies were consolidated due to depleted timber, causing an economic drop. In later decades, it experienced rapid growth as a center of recreation.

The Supervisory Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Clinic Practice Manager practices in the Primary Care Division. They provide a full range of services emphasizing quality, timeliness, and advancing the Veterans Affairs (VA) mission. The Supervisory APN executes leadership that is characterized by substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for population groups or integrated programs and influence the organization's mission and health care.

The NP provides advanced clinical practice, consultation, and management of a clinic including supervision of licensed practitioners.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Licensed independent practitioner with advanced education and national certification who is the designated first-line supervisory authority for a program or clinical area.

* Responsible and accountable for the operation of their assigned units and provides coverage for other Supervisory APNs as needed.

* Responsible and accountable for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, and development of staff.

* Evaluates individual staff performance.

* Functions as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor providing leadership to the team.

* Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team to remove barriers and implement new evidence-based cutting-edge programs/processes.

* Engages in professional organizations to enhance leadership and career growth.

* Adheres to ethical principles in decision-making, fostering accountability at personal, organizational, and staff levels.

* Equips staff with tools for culturally competent care and promotes a culture of accountability for high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
