Job Title: Sales Associate, Full or Part Time

Every Huck’s Market Sales Associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of their shift, within company policy, to ensure that the shift contributes to the profitability of the store.

• Customer Service:
  Greets all customers promptly (including gasoline intercom) and provides courteous service adhering to Best In Class standard; ensures store appearance reflects company expectations and standards; ensures the store is open and ready for business during all hours; handles customer conflicts by using the MAKE IT RIGHT method.
• General
  
  Job Duties:
  
  Committed to our Vision/Mission Statement (T.H.A.N.K.S); performs tasks as assigned by the Store Manager; follows all federal, state and local laws pertaining to operation of the store; follows the posted work schedule unless a change is arranged with the Store Manager; operates shift within company guidelines and policies; informs Store Manager of all sales, cash, or operating discrepancies; actively participates in Company contests;
  
  uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Accounting:
  Completes a shift checklist; records all hours worked on the workstation; rings all sales on the sales register; accurately records all voids, refunds and price overrides.
• Human Resources:
  Advises Store Manager of personnel situations or policy violations; treats co-workers and customers with dignity and respect; records hours worked; complies with the Company Responsible Retailing policy.
• Security:
  Follows cash handling procedures; maintains a safe shopping and working environment; protects company assets including cash and merchandise; follows vendor check-in procedures; keeps cash in the safe and register as appropriate; follows shift change procedures.
• Merchandising:
  Keeps coolers, shelves, and displays stocked; maintains cleanliness of equipment; uses correct pricing; employs suggestive selling as directed by the Store Manager.
• Maintenance:
  Keeps store floors clean; checks refrigeration equipment and temperatures; cleans windows, floors, shelving, counters, gas pumps and parking lot; follows shift duty checklist; reports maintenance problems to the Store Manager promptly.
• Safety:
  Ensures ladders are used properly; adheres to lifting procedures; uses wet floor signs; reports accidents to the Store Manager and corporate office.
• Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App:
  Actively promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app, explain benefits to customers, monitor for misuse of points or discounts, assist customers with sign-up and usage.
