Unit Stepdown/Med Surg # of beds 20 Ratios Stepdown 1:3 and Floor 1:5-6
Required certifications BLS, ACLS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Resp issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, chest pain Experience or 'Must have' skills Stepdown experience
Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, aminodarone
