As a Laundry Attendant, your care and attention to detail in our laundry operation will ensure exceptional standards for our hotel lines: you will take pride in your role, facilitating a memorable guest stay.
Hotel OverviewFairmont Jasper Park Lodge is surrounded by the snow‑capped mountains and enchanting lakes of Jasper National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The property includes a newly redesigned spa, six food and beverage outlets, and numerous outdoor activities around the lodge.
Responsibilities- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards.
- Pick‑up and deliver JPL linens, staff uniforms and contracted linen at scheduled times.
- Assist the wash person and laundry attendants as required.
- Provide and deliver housekeeping and food & beverage departments with clean linen.
- Report necessary maintenance items.
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience an asset.
- Strong knowledge of JPL property, routes, linen closets and F&B outlets preferred.
- Valid Alberta driver’s licence required.
- Excellent physical condition required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team‑work ability with minimal supervision.
- Calm, courteous, focused on guest needs at all times.
Walking: 6–8 hrs/day;
Standing: 0–4 hrs/day;
Bending/Reaching: 6–8 hrs/day;
Pushing/Pulling: 1–2 hrs/day;
Lifting: up to 50–80 lbs;
Environmental conditions:
hot/cold, high noise, hazardous machinery, frequent building in/out.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
