Health and Nutrition Manager

Overview

Blueprints is hiring a Health & Nutrition Manager to lead our Head Start/Early Head Start health initiatives and strengthen services that support the well‑being of children and families. This role is perfect for a mission‑driven professional who excels in compliance, staff development, and program improvement.

• Oversee all health & nutrition operations to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards
  , CACFP
  , and safety regulations.
• Lead staff onboarding, supervision, and professional development— including CPR/First Aid and classroom health‑related training.
• Manage medication administration processes, health plans, nutrition plans, screenings, and safety practices.
• Use data to guide decision‑making and support continuous quality improvement.
• Chair the Health Advisory Committee and build strong community partnerships.
• Collaborate across program areas to deliver integrated, high‑quality services for children and families.
• Support grant reporting, annual updates, unit plans, and documentation requirements.

• A collaborative leader with strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience in child health, public health, nutrition, or related fields
• Ability to train, motivate, and mentor staff
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices in early childhood settings
• Registered Nurse, BSN or BS in Public Health, BPH
