$14.75 hourly with On Demand Pay Options

Caregiver Direct Support Professional (DSP) at REM West Virginia. Daytime and overnight roles are available in a variety of assisted living environments, including nursing home facilities. Duties include supporting participants with developmental goals and helping them participate in the community and enjoy their favorite activities.

• Develop real, meaningful relationships with individuals you serve and support them to grow, learn, and live well.
• Provide person-centered supports, including assistance with personal goals such as budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition.
• Assist people with a variety of needs, including autism and related conditions, and support personal hygiene and behavior management as required.
• Empower participants to be part of the community and engage in activities they enjoy.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure participants’ well-being and safety.
• Participate in the organization’s learning and development opportunities to support a fulfilling career.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).
• Skills: Caregiver - Direct Support Professional (DSP) - STNA - Resident Assistant - Home Health Aide - Assisted Living – Group Home – Human Services.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance (in some positions).

The DSP role is similar to a STNA, Home Health Aide, Resident Assistant, or Nursing Home Aide.
