We are currently seeking a dedicated Construction Inspector to monitor and evaluate construction activities at various job sites, particularly in Fairmont, WV. This role will involve routine inspections under the guidance of senior inspectors and engineers. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of highway construction methods, materials, and safety standards.

• Conduct inspections of traffic control, environmental measures, project layout, construction techniques, and materials used in the project.
• Evaluate the daily work completed by contractors, reviewing and recommending acceptance or rejection of work reports, and verifying conformance with approved Quality Control Plans.
• Review material testing procedures and results to ensure they adhere to contract specifications, and perform necessary sampling and testing of construction materials.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and any relevant certifications from a State Highway Agency or accredited organizations such as ACI (American Concrete Institute) or NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) preferred. A valid driver's license is required. Candidates should have at least two years of related experience in construction inspection. Travel may be necessary based on project needs.

Additional relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
