Supportive Services Veteran Families Case Manager

Overview

Works to assist veterans & veteran families to enroll in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families housing program. Works closely with local landlords and rental properties to locate and secure rental openings for enrolled clients. Works with participants to develop appropriate case plans and goals. Provides ongoing assessment and support, assist participants in the utilization of internal and community resources to meet the individual/family needs & secure appropriate permanent housing.

• Assist veterans and veteran families to enroll in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families housing program.
• Work closely with local landlords and rental properties to locate and secure rental openings for enrolled clients.
• Work with participants to develop appropriate case plans and goals.
• Provide ongoing assessment and support; assist participants in the utilization of internal and community resources to meet individual/family needs and secure appropriate permanent housing.

• Be able to provide own transportation; carry adequate insurance coverage;
  Criminal Background Check;
  Protective Services Record Check.
• Ability to drive long distances.
• Day &/or overnight travel may be required for training purposes.
• Ability to successfully organize, communicate, and manage well under pressure.
• Excellent computer knowledge/skills; use of Microsoft Office software/products preferred.
• Professional use of telephone skills; working knowledge of various types of office equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member and interact with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
