The Parts Sourcing & Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the maintenance and production teams by ensuring the timely sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of essential components. This position is key to maintaining smooth operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting company-wide initiatives for cost-effective procurement and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase parts and components for the Parts Department, focusing on cost-effective vendor selection and timely delivery.
  • Analyze demand and track orders to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid supply disruptions.
  • Maintain the parts room in an organized and orderly manner.
  • Process inventory transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure parts are ordered and received as needed.
  • Check in incoming orders and place new orders as required.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Outlook for inventory management and communication.
  • Maintain accurate SDS records.
  • Learn and use Emaint (CMMS system) for inventory and maintenance tracking.
  • Communicate with the Accounts Payable Department and vendors regarding billing and order status.
  • Support Quality Assurance with SQF audits and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE), uniforms, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) equipment are available for new employees.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new computer systems, including Emaint (CMMS).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
