Position: DRIVING RANGE ATTENDANT- PART TIME
Overview
The Range Attendant works under the supervision of the Director of Golf, Golf Shop Manager, First Assistant Pro and Golf Shop Attendants. The role supports cleaning golf carts, picking up range balls on the driving range, refreshing drinking water on the course and at the Quail Creek Pickle Ball courts adjacent to the clubhouse. Responsibilities include keeping the outside of the Pro Shop clean, emptying trash cans, and basic cleaning of the work area.
This position is safety sensitive and subject to a pre-employment background check and random drug screenings.
Essential Functions
Golf Range
Maintain the driving range and range balls for all patrons, members, and guests. Assist golf cart attendants with golf carts as needed.Use hand-held radio or walkie-talkie to communicate with the clubhouse and inform employees of pertinent safety issues.Drive range carts and electric golf carts to various locations on the course in a safe and professional manner.Assist golf shop staff, snack bar/grill staff, and golf course maintenance staff as required to support the operation and its patrons.Align ropes to guide patrons to hit range balls toward the center of the driving range with safety in mind.Report any damage, loss, or theft of carts or equipment to golf course vehicles or golf carts.Operate driving range carts and other turf-related vehicles as needed.Return range ball tokens to the golf shop staff as needed.Essential Functions
Golf Course and Facility Operations
Gather and wash balls, perform course inspections, and maintain a clean and appealing golf environment to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all customers.Pick up driving range balls; wash range balls and fill range dispenser.Inspect the driving range to facilitate a quality hitting area.Assist in keeping the golf course and driving range clean.Adjust and move ropes to promote quality turf for patrons to practice.Pick up range baskets and remove unusual debris from the hitting area.Keep bag stands clean and aligned to present a professional look and comply with safety protocols.Empty waste and recycling from the clubhouse to proper storage sites at the golf maintenance department.Maintain a clean work area to promote an efficient and organized facility.Report suspicious or unusual behavior, trespassing, or non-golf activities on the course.Return lost and found items to the golf shop.Assist players or groups on the course as needed.Lock the facility and ensure security at the end of a shift.Non-Essential Function

Qualifications
Possess a high school diploma or GED and be at least 16 years of age.Possess a current and valid driver’s license and be insurable.Must have dependable transportation to and from work.Ability to work non-standard work hours.Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and an initial drug screen.Knowledge,

The work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking on rough or uneven surfaces, bending, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other related activities. Visual requirements include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, and depth perception. The role requires speaking, hearing, typing, writing, and handling tools as part of duties.
Work EnvironmentThe work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, carts, machines, and exposure to chemicals. Protective clothing or gear (masks, gowns, coats, boots, goggles, gloves) may be required.
