Speech Pathologist, Elementary School
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school serving kindergarten through 5th-grade students in Fairhope, AL. This contracted role offers the opportunity to support young learners in developing essential communication skills within a collaborative educational environment. The position runs from March 2025 through May 29, 2026, providing a full 35-hour workweek on-site.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students from K-5th grade
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement treatment strategies tailored to students' needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and comply with district and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology
- Registration with the Alabama Board of Speech Examiners is required
- Experience working with elementary-level students is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, educators, and families
- Flexibility to complete credentialing and prescreen interviews as part of the onboarding process
