We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the DSG-Canusa manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of mechanical and electromechanical equipment to ensure our production lines run safely and efficiently. You will work closely with our process engineering and production teams to identify and resolve mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and implement improvements.

This is a second‑shift position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Key Responsibilities- Install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Use our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to conduct scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and timely corrective repairs on plant equipment.
- Inspect and examine machinery daily to detect potential failures.
- Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical issues on production equipment, implementing effective solutions to prevent unplanned outages.
- Strictly adhere to all company health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Promote safe work practices at all times to maintain an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplace.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, ensuring tools and parts are organized according to 5S principles.
- Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately and on time.
- Follow established maintenance processes and Leader Standard Work procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and reliability in all tasks.
- Work closely with engineers and production team members to resolve equipment issues and optimize performance.
- Share knowledge and provide hands‑on training to new or junior maintenance staff, emphasizing safe, efficient, and quality‑focused work practices.
- Perform other maintenance or facility‑related duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to meeting the plant’s needs.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician or millwright in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
- Proven expertise in maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical production equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
- Skilled in reading technical drawings/schematics and using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electromechanical machinery issues.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Certificate of Qualification is highly preferred
. - Welding certification or training and experience with welding/fabrication are a plus

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and/or move materials (such as machine parts or spools) weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required during maintenance tasks.
