Sunday – Thursday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Hours may vary based on shipping volume and company needs.
The Bug Company is a leader in the pet industry, specializing in the safe shipping of live insects for reptile and exotic pet owners nationwide. We are looking for reliable, detail‑oriented team members who enjoy active, hands‑on work in a shipping setting.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a hands‑on High‑Level Working Supervisor to oversee daily facility operations, with a focus on shipping, pre‑pack, bulk, and specialty product areas. This role is both a leadership and a working supervisor. You will support the team on the floor while leading operations, improving efficiency, and helping coordinate inventory, supply chain, and facility maintenance needs.
ResponsibilitiesLead daily facility operations and support the shipping, pre‑pack, bulk, and specialty departments
Promote a safe, positive, and productive work culture
Work alongside team members while providing direction and coaching
Ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment and workflow efficiency
Assist with training and team development
Manage ordering, inventory tracking, and supply chain coordination
Monitor facility conditions and report or coordinate maintenance needs
Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement efforts
Previous supervisory or lead experience required
Experience in warehouse, production, logistics, or shipping preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills
Comfortable working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment
Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, inventory systems)
Ability to troubleshoot basic facility or equipment issues
Ability to clear a background check and MVR check
- Ability to stand, walk, lift 50 lbs, and bend
- Ability to operate equipment as needed
- Ability to work in hot, humid, dusty, and dirty environments
