Senior Layout Design Engineer; Warehouse

Warehouse Transformation Project (150,000+ sq ft)

Job Description:

• We are seeking a Senior Warehouse Layout Design Engineer to join a high-impact warehouse transformation initiative. This role is responsible for designing and engineering the internal layout of a large-scale distribution facility to maximize efficiency, flow, and space utilization.
• This is a hands-on engineering design role and not warehouse operations and not SAP functional configuration.

What You’ll Do

• Design and plan the internal layout of a 150,000+ sq ft warehouse facility
• Engineer product flow, line placement, storage systems, and handling processes
• Set up and optimize 1,000+ new product lines and 5,000+ part numbers
• Apply lean principles to streamline material flow and improve efficiency
• Ensure ergonomic and high-efficiency placement of warehouse lines and parts
• Use SAP S/4
  
  HANA to extract warehouse/product data for layout design (user-level, not functional)
• Collaborate with a senior team (3–4 members) to deliver layout transformation
• Measure and improve warehousing performance (cost & service)

What We’re Looking For

• Senior-level experience designing warehouse layouts from scratch
• Experience with large facilities (100K–300K sq ft)
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• SAP S/4
  
  HANA user experience (data lookup, not system configuration)
• Knowledge of warehouse equipment and Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering or related field)

• Experience acting as the final decision-maker for warehouse product line setup
• Strong understanding of warehouse ergonomics and space optimization
• Experience in large-scale warehouse transformation initiatives
