Description
Primary PurposeThe ERP Administrator is responsible for overseeing the management, optimization, and support of enterprise applications, with a particular focus on Sage X3 ERP. This role owns Sage X3 operations and performance, ensuring seamless system integrations (including EDI). The successful candidate will drive business transformation initiatives, ensure seamless system integrations, and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver robust technology solutions that align with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities- Lead the administration, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of Sage X3 and other enterprise applications to support business processes and growth objectives; understand Sage X3 technical layers to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to analyze requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and deliver innovative application solutions.
- Manage application lifecycle, including upgrades, patching, and change management, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Supervise project teams and mentor a team of application analysts and support specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to application architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational and regulatory policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners for system enhancements, integrations, and support as needed, including EDI transaction flows.
- Monitor application performance and proactively address technical issues to maximize system availability and efficiency; leverage SQL query writing to validate data and support root‑cause troubleshooting.
- Prepare and manage budgets for application‑related projects and ongoing support costs.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in enterprise applications and ERP technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise applications, with at least 2 years of hands‑on Sage X3 administration and implementation.
- Experience supporting integrations and reporting across enterprise applications, including foundational EDI transaction flows, Power BI dashboarding, and SQL query writing for operational insights and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of business processes, ERP system architecture, and integration methodologies.
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with experience leading cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with other ERP or business systems is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Sage X3, PMP) are desirable.
No direct supervision required.
Work EnvironmentTypical office working environment which includes a workstation equipped with a computer and other office supplies necessary for daily tasks. Typically climate‑controlled to provide a comfortable working temperature year‑round. Lighting is usually a mix of natural and artificial sources to ensure sufficient illumination.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time salaried position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 45 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours.
