Payroll Processor (Contract - 2 to 6 Month Projects)

We are seeking experienced Payroll Processors for multiple fully remote, 2‑6 month project‑based engagements. These roles are ideal for payroll professionals who can quickly step in to support ongoing payroll operations, system transitions, or interim coverage needs.

• Process full‑cycle, multi‑state payroll accurately and timely
• Review and validate payroll data including earnings, deductions, and tax with holdings
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
• Support payroll tax compliance and reporting requirements
• Maintain payroll records and ensure adherence to internal controls
• Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations

• 3+ years of hands‑on payroll processing experience
• ADP Vantage experience strongly preferred; open to ERP‑savvy professionals who can quickly learn new systems
• Multi‑state payroll experience preferred
• Strong understanding of payroll tax fundamentals
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
