The role involves establishing, developing, and maintaining a team portfolio of Commercial Clients requiring routine and complex structured trade finance and other Commercial Clients Relationship services. The goal is to generate revenue for the Bank by managing client relationships professionally, with broad guidance but credit responsibility and accountability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively establishing, developing, and maintaining a portfolio of Commercial Clients to maximize revenue within acceptable risk profiles by conducting detailed financial analysis and developing proposals within Bank procedures.
  • Creating structured finance and treasury transactions and facilities using analytical and evaluative judgment to meet client needs.
  • Adopting appropriate relationship management strategies to protect the Bank's interests, such as managing potential defaults and aligning with client expectations.
  • Marketing the Bank's products and services to large existing and potential clients, including Treasury, Personal Banking, and Private Client Banking, and referring opportunities to other business lines.
  • Staying updated in designated industry sectors to serve as a technical resource and advisor to clients.
  • Contributing to overall strategy formulation with market knowledge, competitor analysis, and innovative deal structures.
  • Monitoring market and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Managing potential defaulting accounts and recommending remedial actions.
  • Handling ad hoc Commercial Clients projects as they arise.
  • KEY RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTRIBUTIONS:

    • Achieving overall Corporate Banking Strategy.
    • Driving revenue for Commercial Clients, Treasury, and Personal Banking.
    • Protecting the bank's reputation, legal and regulatory compliance, and minimizing money laundering risks.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
    • 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent.
    • Success in outside sales within financial services, B2B sales, or small business banking.
    • Passion for outside sales and prospecting.
    • Ability to analyze financial conditions and industry trends.
    • Proficiency in interpreting financial statements and cash flow analysis.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and client engagement skills.
    • Strong negotiation, project, and account management skills.
    • Creativity, flexibility, and teamwork orientation.
    • Commitment to high standards and excellence.
    • Ability to work with all management levels and deliver presentations.
    • Financial calculation skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to travel.
