As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's direction, leading a team to achieve excellence in engineering projects and operations.
Responsibilities- Serve as a member of the management team to effectuate the company’s direction.
- Manage and mentor a team of 6, including Design Engineers, Office Engineers, and Programmers/Machinists.
- Oversee department operations, ensuring organization, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
- Assume full responsibility for all engineering projects and personnel.
- Ensure adherence to and create engineering procedures and work instructions.
- Achieve departmental objectives and complete projects within budget and time frame.
- Focus product development on meeting and exceeding customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement projects and tooling initiatives.
- Ensure correct creation, storage, and entry of all digital data into the ERP system.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and maintain robust processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support manufacturing from start to finish.
- Plan and manage current projects while preparing for upcoming pipeline requirements.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
- Formulate and implement long‑term objectives and performance standards for the engineering department.
- At least 3 years of experience in a management role and 5 years in manufacturing engineering.
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to develop talent and build a department.
- Proficiency in delivering projects from start to finish and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in machining, CNC programming, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial preferred).
- Knowledge of CNC programming and machining operations.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of delivery timelines and pipeline planning.
- Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

- Professional and positive approach, self‑motivated, and team player.
- Strong business‑related computer skills including Microsoft Office and various CAD products.
This role is fully on‑site from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The work environment is usually moderate in noise level and operates under ISO 9001:2015 standards, leveraging cutting‑edge technology, including robotic machining centers and CNC systems.
Job Type & LocationPermanent position based out of Fairfield, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $ – $ per year. Retirement Savings 401(k). Medical/Dental, Life and Disability Insurance effective the month after hire. Additional benefits include paid sick time, holidays, and paid vacation.
