Fiver Children’s Foundation – Camp Fiver

$350/week plus room and board (hourly option also available if lodging is not needed)

Fiver is not a typical after school program or summer camp. We take a slow and steady approach to building relationships and developing social, emotional and life skills that lead to positive decision-making and outcomes for youth. Fiver is seeking a resident lifeguard to stay on camp grounds to support Fiver’s aquatics programming. The resident lifeguard will perform general guarding duties at the pool and at the lake during swim lessons and at all times when the aquatic areas are in use. As the resident lifeguard they would also be responsible for overseeing pool safety during free swim, evening activities and any other special camp events.

• At least 19 years old by June 2026
• At least 1 season of experience as a lifeguard
• Current CPR, first aid and lifeguard certification (waterfront required)
• Experience working with children; camp experience preferred

During their experience at Camp Fiver, the Resident Lifeguard will gain many transferable skills such as leadership, effective communication, time management, strategic thinking, behavior management and youth development best practices.

Fiver offers a $100 referral bonus in the first paycheck for every counselor/staff member that you refer, is hired, & arrives at camp for staff training.

Located in beautiful Upstate New York, Camp Fiver is a four-hour trip from New York City and is 45 minutes southeast of Syracuse. Camp Fiver’s 129-acre property includes a lake, a river, woodlands, a learning center, dining hall, horse barn and more. Counselors live at Camp Fiver for all 4, 12-day sessions (off days will be discussed thoroughly during staff training) including one and a half weeks of training prior to camp.
