Job SummaryThe Quality Technician at Jabil, Inc. plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing process. This position involves performing a variety of quality control tests, inspections, and documentation tasks to support the delivery of high-quality goods.
Job Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, components, and assembly
- Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, components, and assemblies against blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct various quality tests using a range of measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
- Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting any deviations or non-conformances.
- Initiate and assist with non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control plans and work instructions.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of quality inspection equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the development and revision of quality documentation, such as inspection procedures and work instructions.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits as required.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology) preferred. - One to three years (1-3) of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis).
- Experience with various measurement tools and inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM operation is a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to accurately document data and complete reports.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
