The Digital Accessibility Specialist will support the accessibility initiative by evaluating, testing, remediating, and creating digital content to ensure compliance with digital accessibility regulations and requirements.
Required / Desired Skills
- Digital accessibility testing, remediation, and digital content creation Required – 2 Years
- Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion Required – 2 Years
- Knowledge of usability principles and user-centered design Required – 2 Years
- Understanding of the current version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Revised Section 508 Standards Required – 2 Years
- Ability to test using accessibility evaluation tools and frameworks (e.g., accessibility inspectors) for mobile and non-mobile platforms Required – 2 Years
- Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, Voice Over, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Zoom Text), color contrast analyzer Required – 2 Years
- Experience using automated accessibility testing tools Required – 2 Years
- Ability to self‑direct creation of test plans to include documentation of test strategies and cases, test results, and remediation recommendations Required – 2 Years
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Required – 2 Years
- Adept at liaising with multiple stakeholders Required – 2 Years
- Effective verbal and written communications Required – 2 Years
- Section 508 Trusted Tester Certification Required – 1 Years
- Accessible Technology Certified Professional Required – 1 Years
- Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies Required – 1 Years
- Certified Professional in Web Accessibility Required – 1 Years
- PDF Accessibility Essentials (Adobe Experience League) Required – 1 Years
