Overview of the Team

The Quality Engineering team is a critical part of IPCs product delivery lifecycle. We are a passionate group of engineers focused on ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our SaaS platform. Our team partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Dev Ops to design comprehensive test strategies, build robust automation frameworks, and implement best-in-class quality practices. We believe in shifting quality left, enabling continuous delivery, and driving a culture of quality across the organization.

Role Overview

As the Manager of Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, design and implementation of the QE plan for upcoming releases. In this leadership role, you will lead a team of quality engineers, collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure, operations, development and product management teams to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality IPC software products. You will drive quality across the entire software development lifecycle.

This role is both strategic and hands-on, with a strong focus on functional tests and continuous improvement.

As the Manager of Quality Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality culture ’ll lead the evolution of our testing strategy to support our rapidly growing SaaS platform. Your leadership will directly influence the speed and reliability of our software releases, ensuring that our customers consistently receive a seamless and high-quality product experience. By mentoring your team, optimizing processes, and collaborating cross-functionally, you’ll help build a quality-first mindset across the organization—enabling us to innovate faster, reduce risk, and deliver with confidence.

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of manual testers. Skilled at assigning priorities, tracking progress and developing individual members ‘strengths.
  • Proven ability to define test strategies, create comprehensive test plans, and manage test execution for complex, cross functional software systems.
  • Deep understanding of manual testing methodologies, test case design, exploratory testing, user acceptance and boundary testing.
  • Strong skills identifying, documenting, tracking defects and collaborating with development teams to ensure issues are well documented and verified once resolved.
  • Keen focus on usability, user experience, and customer value.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly report defects, status, and risks. Works effectively with developers, product managers and business analysts.
