Medical Optometric Technician (Training Provided) – West Haven, CT

Join our dynamic optometric practice as a Medical Technician. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are eager to provide exceptional patient care without requiring previous eyecare experience. As a Medical Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our optometric team. In addition to assisting with patient care, you will also participate in the sales of glasses and optical products.

Therefore, a background in sales, particularly in medical or retail environments, is a plus!

• Assist optometrists during patient examinations and procedures.
• Help patients select eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their needs and preferences.
• Educate patients on eyewear options, care instructions, and the use of optical products.
• Manage inventory of optical products, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper display.
• Process transactions and handle payments for eyewear and services.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optometry office and equipment.
• Collaborate with the optometric team to provide a high level of patient care.

• $18 – $25 per hour, depending on experience
• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with a half-day on Wednesday (until noon)
• Simple IRA retirement plan
