Position: Engineering Technician VI (1147)

Months/Years of

Experience:

Eleven (11) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or four(4) years of applicable vocational/military/technical school and 7 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:
Mechanical – At least ten (10) years of the eleven (11) years of experience must include successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of eight (8) years of mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Must have a DoD security clearance. Must have hands on work experience in electrical and mechanical. Must be able to patch/splice telecommunication cables. Must be able to conduct high power electrical work on power distribution systems. Extensive knowledge of electronic test instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, control software, telemetry) and the ability to set up and operate proficiently.

The ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions in fast-paced environments with minimal resources. Travel up to 50% in execution on maritime and land-based DoD test missions.

Qualifications:

Senior Engineering Technician with a minimum of 15 years of experience. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience supporting DoD programs across multiple defense sectors such as aircraft, missiles, communications, and telemetry. Background in maritime technician work. Previous experience with the MOSAIC system or MOSAIC – like systems is desired.

Duties: Lead the MOSAIC technician team on maritime and land-based missions. Transport, set up, operate, maintain performance of the MOSAIC system/subsystems. Conduct maintenance on test support equipment and instrumentation. Operate instrumentation and instrumentation software at the instruction of instrumentation engineer. Train and direct technician team.

Comments: Compliance with health mandates as dictated by the contract may be required as a condition of employment.
