MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in special education, educational technology, education, assistive technology, rehabilitation engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation, physical or occupational therapy, vision rehabilitation therapy, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field.
- Two (2) years of work‑related experience providing special education or assistive technology.
Overnight travel may be required.
This position services offices in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Anniston, Gadsden, Talladega, and surrounding counties.
This position requires extensive local travel in a personal vehicle.
Position works with all ADRS service programs and partner agencies. This involves assisting individuals with various disabilities in overcoming barriers.
The position requires functional knowledge of Microsoft, Apple, and Google products, the ability to install and troubleshoot computer hardware and software, the ability to deliver and set up assistive technology equipment, such as ergonomic chairs or arm supports, and good technical writing skills.
