The City of Casper is seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support the design, construction, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure. This position plays a key role in coordinating engineering projects, performing construction inspections, creating and updating technical drawings and maps, and assisting with surveying and data collection.
- Perform construction inspections, surveys, utility locating, and field verification
- Prepare and update drawings, maps, and project documents using AutoCAD and GIS
- Collect, record, and interpret GPS/GIS data for utilities and right-of-way
- Read and understand technical plans; complete accurate calculations
- Communicate effectively and provide professional customer service
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two (2) years of drafting or technical engineering experience
- Associate’s degree in a related field preferred
- Valid Wyoming driver’s license preferred
