  • Ensure all equipment functions properly before and during instruction
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
  • Assist with program development and implementation as needed
  • Attend all in‑person and virtual program sessions as assigned

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable supporting advanced STEM learning both in and outside the classroom. You enjoy helping students navigate challenging and abstract concepts, supporting hands‑on and technical activities, and collaborating closely with instructors to ensure a smooth learning experience. You are motivated by mission‑driven work and excited to expand equitable access to emerging fields like quantum science and technology.

Additional skills and qualifications include:

  • Current graduate student or college student with advanced study in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience teaching or mentoring high school or middle school students
  • Experience as a teaching assistant, lab instructor, or STEM outreach mentor
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex or abstract concepts clearly
  • Comfort supporting hands‑on, technical, or experimental learning activities
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills

Besides that you might have these bonus skills:

  • AV or educational technology experience
  • Hands‑on STEM, maker, or lab‑based experience

All employees must:
