Job Title:
Assistant Professor
Specialization in Cognitive Psychology or Clinical Psychology with a 9-month contract (3/3 teaching load)
Starting Date:
Fall 2026 (Review of applications begins immediately)
- Teach undergraduate courses such as introductory psychology, research methods, and upper‑level classes in your area of expertise (for example, cognitive psychology, clinical psychology, or related topics).
- Maintain an active and productive research program that meaningfully involves undergraduate students.
- Advise and mentor students pursuing psychology majors and research experiences.
- Contribute to departmental and institutional service.

Qualifications- Ph.D. in Psychology (Cognitive, Clinical, or a closely related field) by the start of the appointment.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and academic community.
- A research program that can be sustained at an undergraduate institution and actively engages students.
- For Clinical Psychology candidates: eligibility for licensure (or license‑eligible) in Connecticut is desirable but not required.
- Evidence of, or strong potential for, excellence in undergraduate teaching.
- Experience with innovative and inclusive pedagogical approaches.
- Proficiency in advising and mentoring undergraduate students.
- Evidence or potential for active contributions to department and institutional service.
