A health services network in Connecticut is currently seeking alicensed Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their growing team in Fairfield County.

Responsibilities:

The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will:

• Evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of children and adolescents
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose and identify mental health disorders
• Develop personalized treatment plans for each patient based on their diagnosis, including therapeutic interventions and medications if necessary
• Consider the individual needs, developmental stage, and family dynamics of each patient
• Prescribe and monitor the use of psychotropic medications when indicated, such as antidepressants, mood stabilizers, or antipsychotic medications
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling to children and adolescents, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, family therapy, play therapy, and other evidence-based approaches
• Handle crisis situations, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, or acute psychiatric emergencies
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication prescriptions
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut
• Board Eligible / Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• Experience in an Inpatient and/or Outpatient role/setting
