At North Bay Health the Clinical Manager, Critical Care (ICU) is a Registered Nurse who has 24‑hour responsibility and accountability for the clinical and operational management of Critical Care at both North Bay and Vaca Valley hospitals. The manager promotes effective, high‑quality patient care for all patients. Key responsibilities include oversight of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, management of human, fiscal and other resources, development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, and fostering interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships within the assigned units and across departments.

The Clinical Manager collaborates with the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Education Specialist, Department Director, and other Clinical Managers to develop and validate staff competency, and works with physicians to establish a collegial, interdisciplinary care environment.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • At least one of the degrees must be in nursing.
Licensure
  • Current California RN License.
  • Current AHA or equivalent BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Related national certification preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years clinical experience in the Intensive Care Unit and 3 years of CVICU and/or Trauma experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience/training required.
Skills
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in the intensive care area.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Teaching, leadership, and high professional standards.
  • Highly organized, able to set priorities, work independently, and be an effective team member.
  • Word processing and Excel skills required.
Interpersonal Skills
  • Professional interaction with administration, medical staff, hospital personnel, and external customers.
Physical Effort
  • Performs all physical duties of the job.
Other
  • Knowledge of regulatory processes required (JCAHO and Title 22).
Compensation
  • $103,840 to $218,400 annually (maximum rate commensurate with 20+ years of clinical leadership experience).
  • Bonus eligible.
