PositionAs a Material Handler, you are a member of an assigned production crew reporting to the Plant Warehouse Supervisor. You will observe operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility.
Our crews work 4 on 4 off, rotating days to nights every 7 weeks (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am).
Responsibilities- Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies, including but not limited to food safety, personal protective equipment, and emergency procedures.
- Operate forklift and coordinate products including raw materials, scrap, finished goods, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies.
- Effectively communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and customers.
- Inspect aluminum for proper quality standards and customer specifications.
- Build positive relationships across the designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.
- High School Diploma or education equivalent.
- 1 year of work experience in an industrial environment.
- 3 or more years of operation and maintenance of forklift.
- Working knowledge of proper hazardous waste management.
- Experience using JD Edwards, AS400, or similar warehouse or ERP system.
- May include hot/cold working conditions and a loud/noisy environment.
- Standing and walking for prolonged periods.
- Climbing stairs, catwalks, and other equipment as necessary.
- Hiring Salary Range: $27.37/hr
- Eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
