Warehouse Supervisor

Overview

The warehouse supervisor "champions safety" and leads cross-functional teams (Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory) to achieve the highest standards of Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Working under the leadership of the Assistant Logistics Manager, the warehouse supervisor demonstrates a willingness to assist other departments and provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. The Warehouse Supervisor has comprehensive responsibilities across all warehouse tasks.

• Supervise, coach, and train warehouse technicians
• Assist and communicate with East Bay Tire management
• Supervise accurate inventory transactions (receiving, put-away, and depletion)
• Maintain and execute inventory adjustments and cycle count discrepancies
• Organize and coordinate daily shipping and receiving schedules
• Lead maintenance and building upkeep
• Assist with physical end-of-year inventory

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum of two years  experience as a leader/manager in a warehouse/logistics capacity
• Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of the company and public in a professional manner
• Must have a valid CA driver s license and clean driving record (must be insurable)
• Forklift and clamp truck experience required (Operator s certification a plus)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word & Excel - intermediate) as well as inventory systems
• Knowledge of LTL, small parcel, and truckload operations
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under high-pressure situations
