As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / SLS Instructor, you will be a key part of their journey, offering support, compassion, and care every step of the way.

Responsibilities
Implementing person-centered support plans and daily routines tailored to each individual's goals and preferences.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive home environment.
Assisting with personal care activities, including grooming, hygiene, dressing, toileting, and medication management.
Supporting household tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and general cleaning.
Providing transportation to medical appointments, recreational outings, community integration activities, and family visits.
Promoting social interaction, independence, and self-advocacy.
Accompanying clients to urgent care, emergency rooms, and documenting all health-related outcomes.
Writing detailed and timely daily progress notes and reports.
Participating in developing and implementing Individual Services Plans (ISP) and Behavior Services Plans (BSP)
Attending required staff meetings, training sessions (minimum 12 hours annually), and ongoing supervision.
Supporting goal achievement through teaching daily living skills and reinforcing positive behaviors.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing direct care or supervision to individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
Clearances:
Must pass DOJ/FBI background check (Live Scan clearance required before start date).
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Certifications:
Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
Driver Requirements:
Valid California driver's license, proof of current auto insurance, DMV record, and reliable transportation.
Preferred
Skills:
Experience with behavior modification programs and working with individuals with various medical conditions is highly desirable.

Strong commitment to compassionate care, patience, flexibility, reliability, and integrity.
Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Safety:
Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
