Job DescriptionAt North Bay Health, the Clinic Resource RNLung Nodule Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Lung Nodule Program will work alongside Pulmonary NP and Pulmonary Physicians to support the program. Functions as system wide coordinator of CT lung screening services. RN serves as an agent of the patient and engages with other care practitioners to provide the full scope of intake, exam, results, and follow up of patient care.
Analyzes information, monitors patients, and takes action to facilitate their wellness and healing. Develops and distributes educational materials. Works with a lung cancer multidisciplinary clinical team to carry out a coordinated process for screening, follow up and treatment when appropriate. Initiates and maintains strong relations and communications with other technologists and navigators.
She/he functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, educator, and counselor for Lung Nodule patients. She/he is responsible for ensuring all adult patients with an oncology diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services. He/she will coordinate patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. She/he will serve as a clinical resource with expertise in oncology care management. He/she will serve as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for this unique patient population.
Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient. The Clinic Resource RN is an integral member of the health care team who works to ensure safety, continuity and comprehensiveness of care. Facilitates a holistic approach; focusing on preventative and restorative care. Works effectively with patients and their families to improve their quality of life.
The nursing process will be utilized when providing patient care, to include, administering infusion protocols, monitoring patients during and after treatments, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluation; managing symptoms related to treatments.

Qualifications- Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing field required (BSN).
- Licensure/Certification: Current California RN license. Current AHA or equivalent BLS certification required. IV Skills preferred.
- Experience:Three years of experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting preferred. Two years of experience of IV infusion therapy preferred.
- Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills in providing ambulatory nursing care. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups:
Young Adult, Adult and Geriatric. Knowledge of medical terminology required, Knowledge of office equipment and basic computer skills required (fax, multi-line phone, copier/scanner). Knowledge of Cerner desirable. Knowledge of an electronic health record required. Knowledge of research studies. Strong knowledge of regulatory and professional standards in areas of responsibility. Examples include but not limited to:
