Overview
The selected candidate will participate with departmental colleagues to develop, revise, prepare, and teach classes in Computer Information Sciences with a specific focus on Computer Applications and end-user software that are applicable to business and CIS careers
. The successful candidate will bring a strong applications-based background
, including experience teaching or using productivity, business, and creative software such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and other commonly used workplace technologies
.
The candidate will provide instruction in accordance with established course outlines and expectations; inform students about course requirements; prepare and grade assignments and examinations; meet administrative timelines and submit completed and required documents and reports; and maintain required student attendance and scholastic records. Teaching assignments may include evening and weekend hours, and off-campus instruction in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and College and School policies.
Faculty will also be responsible for advising students and collaborating with industry partners to ensure relevancy of the curriculum and provide necessary training and education.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates must possess: a commitment to encouragement of learning and an enthusiastic attitude toward student learning; sensitivity to students from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds who may have wide ranges of abilities.
AND
Any Bachelor’s degree AND at least TWO years (minimum) of relevant work experience in the subject area of the courses.
OR
Any Associates degree AND at least SIX years (minimum) of relevant work experience in the subject area of the courses.
OR the equivalent
If you do not meet the minimum qualifications exactly as stated above, you must request an equivalency review and submit conclusive supporting documents at the time of application.
