North Bay Health is seeking a Board‑Certified, licensed Pain Management Physician to join our esteemed healthcare team in Northern California. Located between the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area, scenic Napa Valley, and the cultural city of Sacramento, North Bay Health offers an ideal location for both personal and professional growth with a strong focus on work‑life balance.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pain conditions, providing patient‑centered and evidence‑based care.
- Perform interventional pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, SI joint injections, radio frequency ablation, peripheral nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulator trials, and other procedures appropriate to training.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that include interventional procedures, pharmacologic therapy, physical therapy, behavioral health integration, and alternative modalities.
- Collaborate closely with referring physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, behavioral health providers, and case managers to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team‑based case reviews, and clinical meetings.
- Provide patient education on pain management strategies, expectations, and long‑term wellbeing.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding controlled substances and procedural care.
- Directly supervise mid‑level practitioners (e.g., physician assistants, nurse practitioners).
- Participate in ongoing professional development and relevant training to maintain expertise in the field of addiction medicine.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation for patient care and billing.
- Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager to manage schedules, changes, and templates as appropriate.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency in Anesthesiology OR Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with fellowship training in Pain Medicine (preferred).
- Board Certification or Board‑Eligible in Anesthesiology OR PM&R/Physiatry.
- Valid California Medical License.
- California DEA Certificate.
- W2 Employee Model, Income Guarantee 2 years $563K.
- Production beginning year 3.
- Sign‑On Bonus $30,000.
