We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance requirements, performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory, and leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
- Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and Safety Audits.
- Installing and maintaining equipment at both local and global levels per design packages.
- Programming and installation of head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
- Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at local and global levels.
- Leading on-site software commissioning and testing.
- Leading inspections, evaluations, and inventory; performing takeoffs from project drawings.
- Documenting and tracking RFIs; design assist and feedback.
- Documenting daily reports and project progress; communicating project and team member issues to management.
- Creating and managing project schedules; integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.
- Forecasting and managing project labor hours; communicating effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
- Guiding and mentoring technicians.
- Ensuring compliance with clearance/citizenship requirements; government security investigation and eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- Requires a valid driver’s license; may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle; acceptable driving record.
- 100% travel is required.
- HS diploma or GED;
Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program - An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
- 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
- 3 years of the above experience focused in electronic security systems
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
- Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (a plus)
- Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch products, AIphone Intercom Systems, Windows operating systems & certifications) and experience in installation of said systems
