Security Officer – Utilities (Unarmed, Driving)

Part‑Time Security Officer based in FAIRFAX, VA responsible for patrol, customer service, and incident response in utilities environments.

• Serve and safeguard clients in utilities and other industries.
• Patrol assigned areas while driving, deter security incidents, and support a secure environment.
• Maintain visible presence and a customer‑focused approach.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations.

Part Time

$17.60 / Hour

Fri 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM;
Sat 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM;
Sun 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

• Provide customer service and execute security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols.
• Observe and report any security irregularities.
• Communicate with management or authorities for escalation.
• Control access by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs.
• Stay alert to changes affecting security needs.

• Valid driver’s license and compliance with driver policy.
• Experience with access control or badge systems preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR or first aid certification preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required; may be subject to drug screen.
• Fields requiring licensing subject to state/local laws.
