Announcement: 6605 Opening Date: 15 January 2026 Closing Date: Until Filled Pay Plan/Series: NF-2091-01 Salary: $18.08/hour Location: Centreville, VA – Exchange
Responsibilities- Manage the customer experience: welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and help with merchandise selection.
- Operate a cash register: receive cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, and gift cards and give change accurately.
- Maintain accurate sales records: record sales at the end of the shift, balance cash, and turn in sales records and stamps.
- Perform price changes for promotions, markups, markdowns, and ensure proper display and signage.
- Adhere to loss prevention policies, be aware of shrink, and monitor the Alert Line.
- Follow safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements; work weekends as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school graduate, GED, or equivalent; ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature; count, subtract, multiply, and divide for stock inventory.
- Ability to lift 10 pounds routinely and 25 pounds occasionally; stand for long periods.
- Preferred:
Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience.
