Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) - Fairfax, VA 22033

JOB OVERVIEW

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and act as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations.

SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
  • Your starting pay will be $15.00 – $17.00 depending on skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 5 – 10 hours.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery, drug, department and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You will communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Professional courtesy with store employees, management and customers is essential.
  • Holiday support: Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days, extended hours, and sometimes on the holiday itself, including weekends.
  • Department resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which can include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who support each other as needed.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently push, pull, lift and carry cartons, merchandise and display fixtures up to 30 lbs and up to 50 lbs on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

    BASIC

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Can read, write and understand English.
    • Can lift and carry products up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
    • Able to operate a digital hand‑held device for reading documents and interpreting information.
    • Has Wi‑Fi and internet access.
    • Has consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

    Part‑time employees with a schedule of fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
