Inova Neurosurgery is looking for a dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioners or Acute Care Physician Assistants (APPs) to join the team. Positions are available across multiple locations and shifts including PRN, Part Time, and Full-Time opportunities. This position is eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

• Fairfax County
• Loudoun County
• Alexandria City

Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider

Job Responsibilities

• APP will be responsible for all aspects of the service to include daily rounds and progress notes.
• Emergency Room and inpatient consults, admissions, and discharges
• Ordering and interpreting labs and radiologic studies
• Fielding phone calls from inpatient nurses.
• Multidisciplinary care coordination and patient education.
• You may also perform procedures - within the scope of practice of Inova Health credentialing and privileging - to include EVD and ICP monitor placement.
• Some opportunity exists for first-assisting in the OR, as service needs permit or require.
• The APP will work directly with the neurosurgeons.

Additional Requirements

• Work schedule:
  
  Full-time/Part-Time/PRN - 12 hour shifts
• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program. Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners. For physician Assistants, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Certification:
  Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA certification), BLS, Virginia License, DEA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in inpatient neurosurgery, spine, or orthopedics.
