Registered Nurse; RN Operating Room

Overview

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is currently hiring experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to support our patients.

Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, day shift:
Three 12-hour shifts per week. Schedule breakdown: 12-hour shifts (6:45am to 7:15pm) with variable days off and on-call requirements (Night, Weekend & Holiday). Scrub and circulating experience preferred.

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
• Advocates for patients  rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel to resolve issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients  learning needs.

• Experience:
  
  Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct OR experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education:
  
  BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate  Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License:
  Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.

• Scrub and circulating experience strongly preferred
