Registered Nurse; RN Operating Room

Overview

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is currently hiring experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to support our patients. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses.

Full-time, night shift:
Three 12-hour shifts per week. Schedule breakdown: 12-hour shifts (6:30 pm to 7:00 am). 2-week alternating schedule (Week 1: Sun, Mon, Tue; Week 2: Tue, Wed, Thu). Holiday on-call requirement. Scrub and circulating experience preferred.

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting data and synthesizing their interrelationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends to achieve best practice.
• Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end-of-life decisions.
• Advocates for patients  rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and resolves issues.
• Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients  learning needs.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Education:
  
  BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing program. If holding an ADN, BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.
• License:
  Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

• Scrub and circulating experience strongly preferred.
