Registered Nurse; RN Endoscopy

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced Full‑time Endoscopy RN to join its dynamic team in western Fairfax County, Virginia.

Schedule:

4x10 hour shifts. Shifts vary — weekdays 7 a.m.–5:30 p.m., 7:15 a.m.–5:45 p.m., and 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Weeknight, weekend and holiday on‑call required.

The lab comprises 6 endoscopy suites and performs a range of procedures, including Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic bariatric procedures, and Endoscopic Ultrasound. Over 9,000 procedures are performed annually with the latest technologies.

• Perform endoscopic procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic bariatric procedures, and Endoscopic Ultrasound.
• Provide pre‑procedure and post‑procedure nursing care, including patient assessment, sedation management, and monitoring.
• Assist in the evaluation of patient suitability for procedures and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate procedural documentation and comply with hospital policies and state regulations.
• Treat complications, provide emergency care and coordinate with physicians as needed.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in OR, Endoscopy, PACU, or critical care (ICU/ED).
• BSN from an accredited nursing school. If RN holds an ADN, a BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.
• RN license or eligibility to practice in Virginia (CN).
• BLS Healthcare Provider Certification (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALs within 90 days.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• RN with at least 2 years of prior Endoscopy, ICU, or ED nursing experience.
