Overview of the role:
Crescent Hotels and Resorts is seeking an experienced and accomplished Vice President of Operations. This role requires a demonstrated track record of success with the ability to lead a portfolio of properties. Multi-property with major brand experience and operational oversight is required; experience with independent brands is preferred.
This role works closely with ownership and requires strong communication skills, the ability to convey factual data and forecasts promptly and accurately, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
The portfolio is a combination of full-service and select-service properties. This role can be based in any U.S. location, with easy access to a major airport. Frequent travel to the properties can be expected.

- Effectively act as a mentor leaders of property leadership teams. Work with corporate team leaders to ensure the maximization of revenues and profits.
- Ensure all properties are in compliance with brand standards and Crescent initiatives. Ensure the implementation of all Crescent SOPs, financial systems, People & Culture initiatives at all existing and transition properties within assigned region.
- Act as direct liaison with property ownership within own portfolio to ensure proper and proactive communication. Review and understand ownership needs and expectations on a regular basis.
- Act as additional support with property ownership and VP, Operations to ensure proper and proactive communication.
- Collaborate with Corporate Food & Beverage Senior Leadership to ensure that F&B operations within portfolio are demonstrating operational excellence in menu design, service delivery and execution. Directly influence decisions to impact positive food & beverage market share growth.
- Ensure that management agreement obligations are being adhered to and carried out. Act as the main point of contact for ownership groups.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of ownership agreements for all properties within region including but not limited to management, partnership, operating and franchise agreements.
- Lead strategic planning, development, and coordination of initiatives of the region. Set up long-term strategies in both rooms & food and beverage operations.
- Participate in annual budget reviews within region ensuring timely internal reviews while meeting ownership deadlines.
- Continuously seek more efficient and effective ways to provide services to our properties and ownership groups.
- Candidate based out of the East Coast U.S.
DC or Tri-state Area strongly preferred - 5 years above property experience, with a multi-property portfolio of major brands
- Extensive hands-on experience managing third-party relationships and the ability to lead ownership meetings effectively.
- Independent brand experience preferred
- Strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft 365 tools, as well as BI) required.
- Must have proven ability in building and leading high performing teams and developing direct reports as well as positively influence all levels of the organization.
- Must be a proactive, possess strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required along with the ability to provide direct, actionable, and positive and/or corrective feedback to others.
The compensation range for the position is $180,000 - $210,000.
